Poly Doing Good

in the Community

We recognize that not everyone has equal access to professional opportunities. Some of the most successful leaders could be among those seeking that crucial next step in their career, and the world is filled with those who are in need - in general. We do our best to give back by putting our own time to good use, and are trying to help connect great talent to great opportunities.

Here's how we're doing it

Connecting the Dots

Networking/discussion series

We are working on our fall/winter series for 2016, stay tuned!

Bridging the Gap

Friday, March 27, 2015

We invite recent graduates to talk about their challenges in finding that first ‘career’ job or feeling frustrated in a position for which they’re overqualified. We’ll also hear from employers who hire new grads - and learn how to get that crucial first foot in the door.

The Accessibility Challenge

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Most employers know they can widen their talent pool by including people with disabilities. But how can skilled workers with special needs connect to the right employers? We’ll facilitate discussion between candidates and hiring managers who’ve been successful in this area.

Displaced Workers: Offshore Outsourcing

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Outsourcing can be great for the bottom line - but not so great for workers. This session will bring together employees already displaced or concerned about displacement with employers who have experienced outsourcing to talk about risks, benefits, and long-term results.

Our 'Connecting the Dots' series highlights key issues affecting employers and job-seekers in the Toronto area and facilitates discussions to help both groups address these issues.

Committed to supporting women in business

Women often struggle to find a network of senior mentors to help them grow their careers. Unfortunately, this isn’t unusual - the Canadian business community has long been identified as “lagging behind to support women in leadership roles, and the shortcoming is noticeable on both a local and international scale…” (Huffington Post). One consequence is that women-owned startups have decreased.

To help improve things for women in business, we’re committed to initiatives which support women in leadership and entrepreneurial roles.

We are proud to be involved with:

"Life-fulfilling work is never about the money - when you feel true passion for something, you instinctively find ways to nurture it."
